Newest Craze in town – Kinect!

Kinect for XBox 360, originally known as Project Natal has created a heated craze in town since last week.

The Kinect for X-Box

This is a controller-free game for all ages and the best entertainment to have at home. Kinect is actually a web-cam style add on peripheral for the existing Xbox 360 which allows the game system to detect motion movement through its sensors.
Users can now enjoy games in a more interactive manner without a game controller but through a natural user interface using spoken commands, gestures or presented objects and images.
Project Natal is actually targeting at audience beyond Xbox 360 typical gamer base, competing with the Wii gaming systems as well as the Playstation Move home consoles.

Kinect was officially launched in Singapore on 18th November 2010 and long queues were seen at its roadshow at Plaza Singapura. Hordes of families were there with their children, parents and all to join in the trial of Kinect at the roadshow.
Based on our observation, every 8 out of 10 families joined in the queue to purchase after trying out the game! And because of that, we joined in the line to purchase a whole new entertainment experience too!

Kinect has a total of 11 games till today. We’ve bought 5 out of them and probably will do an update when I try the games out today. 🙂

Kinect Adventures!
Kinectimals
Dance Central

Whether you’re a gamer or not, anyone can play and have a blast. And with advanced parental controls and movies for the family, Kinect promises a gaming experience that’s safe, secure and fun for everyone!
